Vaginal infections

Vaginal infections are among the most common reasons for a visit to a gynecologist. The bacteria can be caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa. Symptoms vary depending on the causative agent but are most commonly manifested by irritation, itching, and increased vaginal secretion.

The incidence of infections is slightly higher in the summer and the reason is exposure to cold water (sometimes bacteriologically defective), wet bathing suits during rest, and changes in more sexual partners.
